The September meeting of the NRV .Net users group will be on Thursday, September 11th at 6:00 PM.

FREE Food!
Yes, free food. And you can learn about Continuous Integration/Continuous Development from Don Schenck of Rackspace.

This fast-paced session will use an OpenStack cloud to spin up Windows servers and create a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environment. We’ll do this in one hour. Seriously. Using open source software, some PowerShell, some C#, and Github (as our source repository), you’ll learn how to create a Windows development environment where you need just one click to build your software, build the tests, execute the tests and deploy to a web server. For this demonstration, we’ll be using Rackspace’s OpenStack implementation for our servers, but you can use any cloud in your implementation. Since OpenStack is open source, you can even build your own cloud for use in your own CI/CD setup. After attending this session, you’ll know how to build an automated environment for building, testing and deploying your software.

We will meet once again at Excella Consulting in the Corporate Research Center, 2000 Kraft Drive, Blacksburg.

Please spread the word and bring a friend. If you plan to attend, please fill out the contact form below, so we can get a headcount for the food. There will also be a raffle at the end of the presentation.
